Botis: The Seventeenth President of Goetia

  • Classification: Euclid
  • Threat Level: 5 (Severe)
  • Category: Infernal Entity
  • Origin: Ars Goetia (The Lesser Key of Solomon)
  • Rank: 17th Spirit, President and Earl
  • Alignment: Neutral

In his primary form, Botis appears as a hideous viper. Upon the command of a conjurer, he is said to shift into a human shape, though he retains the presence of a creature that has witnessed the eons. Historical texts note he carries a sharp, shimmering blade—a visual metaphor for his ability to “cut” through the veil of time.

Botis serves as a repository of chronos-data and social architecture. His primary utility for those who successfully bind him includes:

  • Temporal Cognition: He possesses near-total recall of the past and the ability to calculate probabilistic futures.
  • Diplomatic Synthesis: He is uniquely capable of reconciling disparate parties, turning bitter enemies into allies through the manipulation of social causality.

When Botis is manifesting within a localized reality anchor, all personnel must adhere to the following directives:

  1. Reality Anchoring: Any attempt to commune with or contain the entity requires strict adherence to the Ars Goetia occult framework. Do not deviate from the established ritual scripts, as the entity reacts aggressively to syntax errors in summoning circles.
  2. Containment Perimeter: A mandatory 50-meter radius must be maintained at all times. Within this zone, electronics may experience “temporal jitter”—clock-synch errors and corrupted timestamp logs are common indicators of his proximity.
  3. Communication Protocol: Do not ask the entity for information regarding your own death or the collapse of the containment facility. The entity’s tendency to “reconcile” may lead to forced behavioral changes in research staff.

Modern Anomaly Adaptation (Archivist Note)

Section titled “Modern Anomaly Adaptation (Archivist Note)”

The current archival status for Botis within modern anomalous frameworks remains under review.

Researcher Log #772-B: The primary danger of Botis isn’t his venom or his blade—it’s his ability to reshape the social fabric of the site. If he starts ‘reconciling’ the personnel, we lose the necessary friction required to maintain objective containment standards. If any staff member finds their interpersonal conflicts suddenly resolved, report to the medical wing for an immediate temporal integrity scan.

Request for Input: Field agents who have encountered “President” class entities in modern corporate or urban environments are requested to submit their findings to the Repository database immediately.
