Entity Record: The Licker (B.O.W. Alpha-Type)

Entity Identification: Licker (B.O.W. Specimen)

Section titled “Entity Identification: Licker (B.O.W. Specimen)”
  • Designation: ent_resident_evil_licker
  • Category: Bio-Organic Weapon (B.O.W.)
  • Origin: Resident Evil Series (Capcom)
  • Alignment: Neutral (Predatory)
  • Containment Class: Euclid
  • Threat Level: 5 (High Lethality)
  • Tags: T-Virus, V-ACT, Mutation, Apex Predator

The Licker is a grotesque evolutionary byproduct of the Umbrella Corporation’s T-Virus experimentation. It represents a secondary stage of mutation (the “V-ACT” phenomenon) occurring when a deceased subject, having already mutated into a standard zombie, is exposed to further viral saturation.

“The skin is stripped, the muscles are raw, and the brain—it’s just… exposed. It doesn’t see you with eyes, but it hears your pulse. If you’re hiding, you’d better pray your heartbeat doesn’t give you away.” — Recovered fragment from Raccoon City field log.

  • Dermal Absence: The Licker lacks traditional dermal layers, resulting in raw, exposed muscular tissue across the entirety of its frame.
  • Cerebral Exposure: The cranium is typically underdeveloped or missing entirely, leaving the brain tissue fully exposed to environmental damage, yet somehow functioning with heightened neural efficiency.
  • Sensory Adaptation: While completely blind (lacking optic nerves), the entity possesses an auditory range that borders on the supernatural, allowing it to triangulate prey via minute vibrations.
  • The Tongue: A weaponized, prehensile muscular organ capable of piercing steel and dragging prey into close-quarters strike range.

[System Rule: Active Status Protocol]

  1. Rule of Engagement: All personnel must maintain total acoustic silence within a 50-meter radius of the entity.
  2. Physical Limitations: Despite their agility and wall-crawling capabilities, their lack of defensive dermal layering makes them vulnerable to incendiary and high-caliber ballistic trauma.
  3. Detection: Avoid erratic movement. Any acoustic spike above 20 decibels will trigger a high-velocity aggressive state.

Modern Anomaly Adaptation (Global Occult / Foundation Integration)

Section titled “Modern Anomaly Adaptation (Global Occult / Foundation Integration)”

Currently, there is no standardized, unified containment protocol for Lickers within the primary SCP database; however, field researchers are encouraged to treat these entities as Level 3 Bio-Hazards.

Should an active specimen be sighted in a modern metropolitan environment, the following Emergency Guidelines apply:

  • Thermal Isolation: Utilize heat-based weaponry to disrupt the sensory feedback loops in their exposed musculature.
  • Sound Dampening: Standard sound-suppression fields should be deployed to prevent the entity from locking onto biological signatures.
  • Anomalous Interaction: Any reports regarding the “Licker” exhibiting behaviors outside of standard T-Virus, V-ACT parameters (e.g., psychic projection or rapid adaptive camouflage) must be reported immediately to the Archive Custodian for classification as a Variant-Class anomaly.
