Overview
Section titled “Overview”The Teju Jagua (from the Guarani language, roughly translating to “Lizard-Dog”) is the first-born son of the malevolent spirit Tau and the mortal woman Kerana. According to the creation myths of the Guarani people, the Teju Jagua stands as the inaugural product of a dark curse placed upon their lineage, manifesting as a creature of immense size and contradictory biology.
Physical Morphology
Section titled “Physical Morphology”- The Seven Heads: The entity possesses seven distinct canine heads protruding from a singular, scaled lizard-like torso.
- Ocular Pyrokinesis: Observers have reported that the eyes of all seven heads are capable of emitting intense beams of fire, used primarily for defense and habitat illumination.
- Locomotion: Despite its imposing stature, the creature is noted for being remarkably clumsy. The sheer weight of its seven heads significantly hampers its mobility, often restricting it to slow, lumbering movements within its subterranean domain.
“The beast is a paradox of lethality and burden. It is a king of the dark, yet it is shackled by the very anatomy that grants it terror.” — Archivist Note #042
Behavioral Logic & Containment
Section titled “Behavioral Logic & Containment”When the entity is deemed active, all personnel must adhere to the following protocols dictated by the metaphysical boundaries of the Guarani mythos:
- Environmental Adherence: Operations must respect the ancient localized reality anchors associated with Guarani-based anomalies.
- Standard Exclusion Zone: A perimeter of at least 50 meters must be maintained at all times to avoid triggering the entity’s defensive pyrokinesis.
- Treasure Sensitivity: The Teju Jagua is innately drawn to, and protective of, subterranean wealth and hidden natural riches. Unauthorized retrieval of artifacts within its lair will result in immediate defensive hostility.
Modern Anomaly Adaptation
Section titled “Modern Anomaly Adaptation”In the context of the Modern Anomaly Framework, the Teju Jagua is currently classified as a dormant guardian. While it does not actively pursue modern urban incursions, there is ongoing concern regarding the encroachment of mining operations into protected subterranean cave systems—natural habitats where the entity is believed to reside.
Research Note: There is currently a lack of empirical data regarding the Teju Jagua’s behavior in non-mythological landscapes. Researchers are urged to investigate potential connections between the entity and localized geological seismic events, which have been speculatively linked to its “shifting weight” within deep-earth caverns.
If you have encountered, or have data regarding, modern interactions with this entity, please submit your findings to the Cryptid Records department immediately.
