Overview
Section titled “Overview”The Dragon is perhaps the most persistent and pervasive ontological construct in human history. Found in virtually every culture—from the feathered serpents of the Mesoamerican pantheons to the wingless, serpentine guardians of Eastern tradition and the fire-breathing tyrants of European folklore—the “Dragon” represents a collective manifestation of primal fear, power, and wisdom.
In the context of the Archive, the Dragon is not a single biological species but a Global Mythic Variable. It functions as an apex entity that bridges the gap between material biology and raw, conceptual energy.
Behavioral Logic
Section titled “Behavioral Logic”When the entity enters an active state of manifestation, the following systemic rules apply:
- Physical/Occult Duality: The entity must adhere to the foundational laws of physics while simultaneously operating under the local laws of mysticism. This often results in “Reality Bleed,” where localized environmental thermal increases occur upon the entity’s emergence.
- Containment Perimeter: A strict base alert radius of 50 meters is required at all times. Personnel are prohibited from establishing eye contact with ocular-based variants, as neurological feedback loops have been documented in past encounters.
- Environmental Adaptation: Dragons are known to sync their internal metabolic rhythm with the local “ley line” density. In areas of high magical concentration, the entity becomes significantly more aggressive.
Modern Anomaly Adaptation: SCP/Archive Synthesis
Section titled “Modern Anomaly Adaptation: SCP/Archive Synthesis”To date, there is no single, monolithic record of a “Dragon” as a biological entity within the contemporary Archive. However, field researchers suggest that “Dragons” may actually be non-linear temporal echoes.
“The dragon is never just a monster. It is the personification of the landscape itself. When you fight a dragon, you are fighting the geography of the earth turned against you.” — Lead Archivist, Sector 7
Research Directives for Field Agents:
Section titled “Research Directives for Field Agents:”- Detection: Monitor for anomalous localized seismic shifts and unexplained high-temperature atmospheric pockets.
- Containment: If an manifestation is detected, initiate Protocol Wyrm-Watch. Use iron-based dampeners to disrupt the entity’s connection to the local occult fabric.
- Open Status: This file is currently marked as INCOMPLETE. Field researchers are requested to submit logs regarding modern sightings or potential covert containment successes involving dragon-class manifestations.
