Entity Overview
Section titled “Entity Overview”Gork and Mork are the twin deities of the Ork race, existing as immense psychic reflections of Orkoid consciousness within the Immaterium (The Warp). Unlike the four Ruinous Powers, these entities are uniquely stable due to the sheer, singular-minded ferocity of their worshippers.
- Gork (The Brutal but Cunning): Embodies the straightforward, visceral application of violence. Gork represents the direct assault—the punch to the face that you see coming but are too slow to dodge.
- Mork (The Cunning but Brutal): Embodies the deceptive, tactical, and underhanded elements of Ork warfare. Mork represents the sudden, back-stabbing strike from the shadows—the blow you never saw coming.
“Gork and Mork are the gods of the Orks. Gork is brutal but cunning, and Mork is cunning but brutal. Or at least, that is what the Orks believe, and their belief is the engine of the galaxy’s most chaotic reality distortion field.” — Archivist Note #882-W
Behavioral Logic & Manifestation
Section titled “Behavioral Logic & Manifestation”When these entities resonate within the local subspace, they do not abide by standard linear causality.
- Psychic Gestalt: The power of Gork and Mork is directly proportional to the number of Orks present. In high-density combat zones, their psychic influence can warp physical laws to ensure “Orky” outcomes—rendering malfunctioning scrap-metal weapons functional simply because they “should” work.
- Containment Protocol: Direct containment is impossible. However, limiting Ork population density in localized sectors reduces the resonance of these gods, effectively “starving” their manifestation capabilities.
- Observational Warning: Research personnel are advised to maintain a 50-meter perimeter from any active “Waaagh!” ritual sites to avoid accidental psychic imprinting or sudden cranial trauma via spontaneous reality-bending.
Modern Anomaly Adaptation
Section titled “Modern Anomaly Adaptation”In the context of the SCP/Anomaly multiverse, Gork and Mork are currently classified as Self-Sustaining Reality Anchors.
There is a growing theory among Foundation xeno-ethologists that Gork and Mork act as a cosmic dampening field against the more predatory aspects of the Chaos Gods. Because Orks are so obsessed with the act of war, their gods essentially “clutter” the Warp with pure, undistilled combat energy, making it difficult for the more subtle, corruption-based entities of the Warp to take root in areas with high Ork populations.
Researcher Note: Should we attempt to weaponize this? If we can stimulate localized Ork belief systems, could we use the combined influence of Gork and Mork to cauterize Warp rifts? The logistical challenge is that we would, in turn, be dealing with an active Waaagh!. Proceed with extreme caution.
