Description: The Geometry of Terror
Section titled “Description: The Geometry of Terror”The Hounds of Tindalos are not creatures of flesh and bone as understood by three-dimensional biology. They are horrors that defy the Euclidean comfort of the curved world. Because they exist within the “angles” of time rather than the “curves” of our reality, their physical manifestations are often perceived as repulsive, shifting masses that defy biological categorization.
“They are lean and athirst and they inhabit the angles of time, while we inhabit the curves of space.” — Fragment recovered from the Pnakotic Manuscripts.
- Appearance: While reported as vaguely canine, eyewitness accounts are notoriously unreliable. Observers describe a foul, viscous substance that flows into existence, often characterized by razor-sharp protrusions and an absence of discernible facial features.
- Nature: These entities reside in the distant, primordial past—an epoch predating the emergence of life on Earth. They are hyper-aware of temporal shifts. Should an individual utilize time-travel or astral projection, the Hounds are alerted to their presence.
Behavioral Logic: The Angular Pursuit
Section titled “Behavioral Logic: The Angular Pursuit”When the entity becomes active, the following systemic rules apply:
- Geometry Sensitivity: The Hounds manifest exclusively through sharp angles—specifically, those of 120 degrees or less. Modern interior design, which favors curved edges and soft transitions, serves as a natural (though temporary) deterrent.
- Temporal Tracking: Once a target is marked, the Hounds will pursue said target across all dimensions of time and space. They do not tire; they do not negotiate.
- 警戒范围 (警戒范围): Active detection radius is confirmed at 50 meters within the local temporal anchor point.
Modern Anomaly Adaptation
Section titled “Modern Anomaly Adaptation”In the context of contemporary anomaly containment, the Hounds present a unique challenge: they cannot be contained by standard physical barriers.
Research Notes:
- Containment Protocol: Current research suggests that the application of non-Euclidean geometry within containment chambers may confuse the Hounds’ ability to manifest.
- The “Angular” Deterrent: Several sites have successfully tested the use of hyper-spherical chambers to eliminate the 120-degree angles required for the Hounds to breach our reality.
If you are a researcher currently studying temporal displacement, ensure your laboratory is devoid of sharp corners. If you see a blueish, viscous substance beginning to pool in the corner of your room, evacuate the sector immediately. Do not attempt to calculate the angle.
