Shathak is a manifestation of the deeper, often overlooked strata of the Lovecraftian cosmogony. While many entities of the Mythos act with overt malice or overwhelming psychic hunger, Shathak functions as an atmospheric constant—a lingering shadow in the peripheral vision of reality. Its presence is less an event and more of a localized collapse in ontological stability.

When the entity enters an active state within our observed plane, the following systemic rules must be enforced:

  1. Law of Cosmic Permeability: All local physical and occult laws must conform to the standard Lovecraftian framework. Standard Euclidean geometry is suspended within the entity’s sphere of influence.
  2. Containment Perimeter: A strictly enforced 50-meter radius must be maintained by all research personnel. Failure to observe this distance results in immediate sensory degradation and potential psychological merging with the entity.

In the current era of anomaly containment, the Archive has yet to finalize a permanent protocol for Shathak. Unlike more aggressive entities, Shathak does not appear to be “contained” so much as it is “endured.”

“Shathak is not waiting to be found. It is the static in the radio, the cold spot in the laboratory, and the reason the star charts never quite line up at midnight. To contain it is to try and capture the fog in a jar.” — Senior Researcher Vance, Archive Log 09-Beta

  • Current Status: Monitoring.
  • Proposed Containment Protocol: Utilize harmonic resonance dampeners to stabilize the local reality field surrounding Shathak’s primary manifestations.
  • Open Call: All field agents are requested to submit any documented sightings or aberrant phenomena involving Shathak to the central server for review.

Archive Note: This entry is part of a restricted dataset. Any unauthorized modification of the Shathak behavioral parameters will result in immediate termination of clearance.
