Physiological Profile
Section titled “Physiological Profile”The Dark Young defy conventional biological classification. Witnesses often describe them as horrific, shifting masses of black, ropy tentacles supported by short, stumpy, root-like appendages.
“It does not walk so much as it bleeds into the landscape. Where it passes, the foliage withers, replaced by a gelatinous, pulsing corruption that suggests the entity is less a creature and more a localized fracture in reality.” — Field Report: Expedition 44-B
The creature features multiple dripping maws scattered across its trunk-like torso. These orifices are primarily utilized for the consumption of biomass and the processing of sacrifices offered by cultists. Its overall aesthetic mimics that of a blackened, diseased tree, allowing it to remain partially camouflaged in old-growth forests.
Behavioral Logic

- Reality Anchoring: Any encounter must adhere to the standard physical and metaphysical laws stipulated by the Cthulhu Mythos framework. High-level occult shielding is recommended to prevent sanity degradation.
- Detection Threshold: The entity possesses a sensory radius of 50 meters. Proximity within this range initiates an immediate predatory response.
