Entity Dossier: Cthylla (ent_lovecraftian_cthylla)

Section titled “Entity Dossier: Cthylla (ent_lovecraftian_cthylla)”
  • Classification: Euclid
  • Threat Level: 5 (Catastrophic Potential)
  • Alignment: Neutral
  • Category: Ancient Deity / Great Old One (Progeny)
  • Mythology System: Lovecraftian
  • Origin: Trans-dimensional spawn of Cthulhu

Cthylla, colloquially referred to as “The Secret Seed” or “The Last Spawn,” is a biological anomaly of cosmic proportions. Unlike the majority of the Cthulhu Mythos entities which manifest as manifestations of madness or pure entropy, Cthylla functions as a biological contingency plan. Existing in a perpetual state of metamorphic gestation, she is the entity tasked with ensuring the resurrection of Cthulhu should the High Priest of the Great Old Ones suffer a terminal cessation of existence.

[System Rule] When the entity is in an active state, the following parameters must be strictly maintained by site personnel:

  1. Reality Anchoring: All containment efforts must adhere to the foundational physics and occult laws defined within the Lovecraftian framework. Standard Euclidean geometry is insufficient; non-Euclidean spatial anchors are required.
  2. Perimeter Security: A physical and psychic警戒 (vigilance) range of 50 meters must be maintained at all times. Any personnel experiencing auditory hallucinations or an unexplained dread of “wet, shifting tentacles” must be immediately quarantined and administered amnestics.

In the context of the SCP Foundation and broader anomalous archives, Cthylla remains a “wild card.” She does not possess a static form, appearing as a shifting mass of cephalopod-like appendages and translucent, pulsating bioluminescent organs.

“She is the safeguard. If the stars align and Cthulhu is hindered, the world will not find salvation—it will find the successor. We do not contain Cthylla; we merely delay her inevitable metamorphosis.” — Fragmented log from Senior Researcher V. H.

  • The Gestation Cycle: Current observations suggest Cthylla is currently dormant within the abyssal depths of the Pacific, mimicking the biological signature of tectonic activity.
  • Manifestation Risks: During localized reality-bending events, Cthylla has been known to project “echoes” of her presence, causing temporary insanity in nearby sentient beings.

Status: Uncontained / Monitoring Only. Researchers are requested to submit supplemental data regarding the modern-day containment protocols or anomalous behavioral manifestations observed in urban environments.
