Hastur, often referred to as “The King in Yellow” or “Him Who Is Not to be Named,” is an entity of immense, incomprehensible power within the Lovecraftian pantheon. Unlike the mindless hunger of entities such as Azathoth, Hastur possesses a distinct, albeit alien, intelligence.

The entity is intrinsically linked to the star Aldebaran and the dying city of Carcosa. It is said that merely reading the forbidden play known as The King in Yellow invites the influence of Hastur into our reality, tearing the veil between our mundane world and the shadowed, dual-sun skies of Carcosa.

“Along the shore the cloud waves break, The twin suns sink behind the lake, The shadows lengthen In Carcosa.”

When the entity enters an active state within the local reality, all research personnel must adhere to the following logic gates:

  1. Law Compliance: The entity functions outside standard Euclidean geometry; however, it remains bound by the base occult laws established in the Lovecraftian framework. Direct observation of the entity’s true form is strictly prohibited to prevent immediate sensory collapse.
  2. Containment Perimeter: A 50-meter baseline警戒 (Alert) zone must be maintained at all times. Should the entity manifest, this perimeter must be expanded to a 500-meter radius, cleared of all personnel possessing historical or literary knowledge of Carcosa.

Integration into Contemporary Anomaly Frameworks:

While currently categorized as Euclid, the potential for an XK-Class End-of-the-World scenario remains non-zero. Preliminary research suggests that Hastur does not “invade” through physical force, but through memetic contamination.

  • Hypothesis: The entity exists as a pervasive “glitch” in the narrative fabric of our reality.
  • Containment Strategy: Strict censorship of any media, digital or physical, that references “Carcosa,” “The Pallid Mask,” or “Lake Hali.”

Research Note: If you find yourself in a room where the shadows do not match the light source, vacate the sector immediately. You are likely within the 50-meter alert zone.
