The Lich is an apex arcane entity found across nearly all human mythos and occult systems. It is defined as a practitioner of high-level necromancy who has successfully bypassed the biological finality of death. Unlike lesser undead, the Lich retains full cognitive function, memory, and an expanded, albeit corrupted, capacity for magical manipulation.

[System Rule] All personnel interacting with identified Lich entities must adhere to the following operational parameters:

  1. Reality Anchoring: When the entity is in an active state, it adheres strictly to the fundamental laws of physics and occult probability established by the Global Arcanum Protocol.
  2. Proximity Threshold: A baseline perimeter of 50 meters must be maintained at all times. Breaching this radius without an active Aetheric Dampener is considered a Class-A fatality risk.
  3. Phylactery Dependency: All Lich entities observed to date maintain a connection to a physical vessel (a phylactery). Neutralization is impossible unless this vessel is located and desynchronized from the entity’s consciousness.

In the context of contemporary anomalous containment, the Lich is classified as a persistent cognitive-hazard entity.

  • Digital Manifestation: Current research suggests that modern Liches may attempt to migrate their consciousness into distributed server architectures, treating the internet as a pseudo-spiritual afterlife.
  • Containment Protocol: Standard physical cells are insufficient. Containment requires a Vacuum-Sealed Arcane Dampening Field (VSADF) to prevent the entity from drawing ambient energy from the local environment.

Currently, there is no unified cross-foundation record regarding the emergence of “Techno-Liches.” If you are a field agent observing anomalous data-mining patterns or unexplainable server-resurrection events, please submit your findings to the Archivist immediately. The preservation of reality depends on your vigilance.
