Wenyaoniao (文鳐鸟): The Harbinger of Abundance
Entity Record: Wenyaoniao (文鳐鸟)
Section titled “Entity Record: Wenyaoniao (文鳐鸟)”- Designation: ent_chinese_classic_文鳐鸟
- Origin: 《山海经》(Classic of Mountains and Seas)
- Mythology System: Chinese Classic
- Alignment: Neutral
- Containment Class: Euclid
- Threat Level: 5
- Primary Habitat: Mount Taiqi (泰器之山)
Description
Section titled “Description”The Wenyaoniao is a singular biological anomaly documented within the Classic of Mountains and Seas (《山海经》). It serves as a bridge between aquatic and aerial states of existence, challenging conventional taxonomical understanding of mythical beasts.
“There is a bird here, its form resembles a carp; it has a fish’s body but avian wings. It bears azure patterns, a white head, and a scarlet beak.” — Classic of the Western Mountains
Anatomical Characteristics
Section titled “Anatomical Characteristics”- Hybrid Physiology: The entity possesses the hydrodynamic structure of a carp, yet features fully functional feathered wings for sustained flight.
- Distinctive Markings: Azure (blue/green) patterns cover its torso, contrasting sharply with a stark white head and a vibrant, crimson-hued beak.
Behavioral Logic
Section titled “Behavioral Logic”The Wenyaoniao follows a strictly migratory pattern between the Western Sea and the Eastern Sea. It is primarily nocturnal, preferring to travel under the veil of darkness.
- Vocalizations: The entity emits sounds reminiscent of the Luan bird or a domestic chicken.
- Biological Effects: Consumption of its flesh is documented as having a sour-sweet taste. Consumption is traditionally purported to cure insanity.
- Macro-Scale Impact: The appearance of a Wenyaoniao is considered an omen of a bountiful harvest year (天下大穰).
Modern Anomaly Adaptation
Section titled “Modern Anomaly Adaptation”In the context of contemporary anomalous research, the Wenyaoniao is currently tracked via satellite imagery and maritime seismic sensors. While it does not display aggressive tendencies toward human vessels, its migration patterns often coincide with unexplained localized atmospheric stabilization.
Containment Protocol (Proposed)
Section titled “Containment Protocol (Proposed)”- Standard Observation: Due to the entity’s migratory nature, physical containment is deemed impossible.
- Monitoring: Surveillance units should be deployed at the convergence of the Western and Eastern oceanic currents.
- Interaction: Research personnel are advised to maintain a minimum 50-meter distance during nocturnal transit periods to avoid unintentional psychological influence or disruption of the entity’s flight path.
Note: Further research is required to determine if the “cure for insanity” attribute is a placebo effect or a genuine neuro-chemical interaction.
